The Foundation for Media Alternatives collaborated with several artists to create a comic series on disinformation and misinformation, the importance of critical thinking, and media literacy in their signature humor and illustration styles. 

Manuel “Manix” Abrera is the author of the daily comic strip Kikomachine Komix in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and the weekly webcomic News Hardcore in GMA News Online. He has currently authored twenty books and has won the National Book Awards for his wordless graphic novel “14”, comics compilation “News Hardcore”, and comics compilation Kikomachine Komix 14: Alaala ng Kinabukasan”. “Marianie” or also known as Marian is a small Filipina who is obsessed with the color pink. A Manila girl by heart and a workaholic for the arts, she draws in between the busy days.
Some of her personal projects are “Nagmamahal, Maria Clara” – Filipina feminist platform online and in print (comics, postcards, zines, etc.) and “Komiks Sundays”. 
Marian is also part of a Filipino comics collective where she sells print merchandise and manage social media.
